Animal habitats face significant changes due to mankind. Habitat destruction, global warming, and non sustainable harvesting all act together causing an ongoing decline of wildlife species worldwide. In order to save wildlife species from extinction, effort is needed to adresse all contributing factors to the problem, many of which are not fully understood to date. By furthering research efforts in wildlife species we aim to contribute to the knowledge necessary to help protect them, as well as raise awareness of the problems they are facing in hopes that action can be taken before it is too late.

MarLab is working to promote the conservation of wildlife species by developing new laboratory analysis techiques and providing analysis and result interpretation for researchers and veterinarians.
